"Communication, Material and Discursive Power Dynamics", a colloquium

2016-11-26

On 28-29 October, the Department of Informatics and Media hosted the colloquium named Communication, Material and Discursive Power Dynamics with over 30 scholars from various disciplines within the social sciences.

The studies presented at the colloquium examined the interconnections between communication practices, their environments, actors, audiences and products, and the power dynamics at work, both at the discursive and material level. The research looked into the ways in which practices of participation and empowerment are mediated, transformed and contested through interplays of power.
