Autumn semester 2021: teaching and examination mainly on campus

The starting point is that teaching and examination takes place on campus. Study periods 1 and 2 (30 August – 3 November 2021 certain teaching on larger courses can be carried out digitally.

Study periods 3 and 4 (4 November 2021 – 16 January 2022) all teaching and examination activities are to be carried out in their normal form.

Spring semester 2021: teaching and examination will be digital during study period 3 and 4

All teaching and examination at the Department of Informatics and Media will be digital during study period 3 and 4 spring semester 2021 (29 March – 5 June 2021).

Education within the Master's Programme in Russian and Eurasian Studies is excepted from the decision. For these educations form of teaching and examination is decided by course coordinators.

Decision concerning teaching and examination for the autumn semester 2021 will be made in mid-May 2021 at the latest. The point of departure is that campus education at the department for the autumn semester 2021 will, as the normal case, be conducted through in-classroom studies.

Spring semester 2021: decision regarding teaching and examination during study period 3 and 4

Decisions on teaching and examination in study period 3 and 4 vill be made in connection with Vice-Chancellor's decision. This is announced to come after the government's decision on 21 January 2021.

Spring semester 2021: teaching and examination will be digital during study period 1 and 2

All teaching and examination at the Department of Informatics and Media will be digital during study period 1 and 2 spring semester 2021 (18 January – 28 March 2021).

Education within the Master's Programme in Russian and Eurasian Studies is excepted from the decision. For these educations form of teaching and examination is decided by course coordinators.

Autumn semester 2020: all teaching and examination will be digital during study period 3 and 4

Due to the continued uncertainty concerning the Corona virus/Covid-19, the head of the department at the Department of Informatics and Media has decided that all teaching and examination at the department will be digital during the remaining part of the autumn semester, i.e., until 17 Januari 2021. A decision concerning teaching and examination in the spring semester will be made in the middle of November.

Students and staff are thus recommended to make the preparations required to participate in campus-based education in the spring semester in case such a decision is made.
